Hung Ga Kuen is a Martial Art that originated in Southern China and has its roots in Southern Shaolin Kung Fu. The Martial Art is characterised by strong stances and a focus on hand techniques.
A practical, self-defence focused martial art founded by the great Bruce Lee. In his own words, Lee referred to his Martial Art as “non-classical” or “formless”. Unlike traditional Martial Arts, Jeet Kune Do is not taught from any codified knowledge or fixed pattern. Jeet Kune Do rather emphasises expression through movement. It is built upon a philosophy that the individual, and his or her expression thereof, is more important than any fighting system itself.
Judo is a Japanese Martial Art that is derived from Jūjutsu. This Martial Art utilises throws and takedowns to bring the opponent to the ground. The Judo practitioner or Jūdōka would then aim to subdue or force their opponent into submission.
Jūjutsu is a close combat Martial Arts system that involves using an opponent’s energy against themselves. This method of fighting aims to efficiently disarm and immobilise an armed or armoured attacker. This is a preferred method to striking a weapon wielding opponent who is protected by armour.
